![]() Cecily Coleman Johnson grew up as the only child in an affluent Boston family. Still,
as loved as she might have been, there was a thread of insecurity
running through her. She wanted to feel loved, which she did not with
her mother. That was why Cecily left home at seventeen, bound for New
York City, so she could further her modeling career. The move taught her a lot about herself, as well as about the world. She realized that the world was a much different place than her parents had made it out to be and she was sort of surprised by that. In time, she learned to survive completely on her own, saying the move grew her up leaps and bounds. It was there that she met the first love of her life, Damon Ross, a photographer. Cecily and Damon had a romance that cheesy novels are made of. Each seemed to be the missing piece of the other's heart and they complemented each other well. Within six months of meeting, the couple was engaged, planning a Spring wedding. Tragedy struck, however, when Damon was killed in a plane crash three months before the nuptuals were to take place. Devastated, Cecily sunk into a deep depression that none of her family or friends could pull her out of. It wasn't until she met Joey Marks that things began to turn around for her. Joey weaseled his way into her heart by claiming to be a close friend of Damon's. Having someone who was that close to him helped her, as they shared stories for hours. Only later did Cecily discover that Joey hadn't known Damon at all. He'd known of him, but they had never had any sort of friendship. Although she was deeply hurt by Joey's lie, Cecily did not end the relationship, because she felt being with Joey was better than being alone. Unexpectedly, Cecily found herself pregnant with Joey's child in 1982. Her shock quickly turned to delight, as being a mother had always been a dream of hers. The dream was not to come true, however, as she miscarried her son at five months. That sent Cecily into another deep depression and proved to be the final nail in hers and Joey's relationship. That's where Trent comes in. He offered her a shoulder to cry on and an acceptance she hadn't found anywhere but with Damon. Guarded friendship soon turned to romance and Cecily's soul mended. In Trent, she said, she had found her soul mate. The couple was married in 1985 and had their first child, a daughter, Skyler Donaye Antonia, two years later. Cecily, happily renounced her career to be a stay at home wife and mother. She is determined not to make the same mistakes with Skyler that her mother made with her, although she admits seeing bits of her mother in some of her parenting techniques, which she says "scares the crap" out of her. Cecily came out of her self-imposed retirement to star as Carrie, opposite her husband Trent's Adrian in the film Born to be Wild: The Rise and Fall of Adrian Sweeney. However, she swears that she has no interest in the entertainment medium anymore. She says her place is at home, with her husband, her daughter and the baby she's due to give birth to next March. But how long can the simple life really satisfy this woman of independent means? |
