Lost in Space

Captain’s log, star date unknown
I’m writing this from space
There’s planets, stars and galaxies
It’s a pretty groovy place
Houston has been notified
That we have veered off course
And desperation has set in
It’s taken me by force

I’m waiting for a rocket
I’m making out a plan
I’m crying to the savior
To find this stranded man
(cause)

Mr. Spock has called in sick
And Captain Kirk’s away
But you know it looks as though
This ensign’s here to stay
Sending postcards from the stars
And desperate for some grace
Oh, Savior can you rescue me
I think I’m lost in space

Are we having fun, Will Robinson
On our galactic ride
I don’t know how to answer that
I’m swallowing my pride
I do not wanna beg for help
But I don’t know what to do
I’m fighting for my sanity
I’m crawling back to you

I’m craving some redemption
I’m longing to be found
I want a giant rocket ship
To turn this one around
(cause)

This is my final log entry
Cause help is coming soon
I’m gonna find my way back home
I know that much is true
I’m holding on for one more day
As crazy as it seems
Cause I know there’s a master plan
And there is hope for me

Until the day I surface
Keep looking to the skies
Cause there’s somebody else up there
That’s always heard my cries
(and)

Mr. Spock has called in sick
And Captain Kirk’s away
This ensign’s finally got good news
His help is on the way
Preparing to come back to Earth
And thankful for this grace
The Savior came and rescued me
When I got lost in space
