Melodi Dixon has always had quite the reputation around JLN, as both a raging bitch and a remorseless homewrecker. She earned both well. From day one, Mel has made it her personal mission to dominate the label and has made her share of enemies in the process, her most notable one being Phoenix. In late 1986, they fought like two children on the Through My Eyes tour, something Mel got a sadistic pleasure out of.

In 1987, she didn't get off to the best start with T.J. on his The Golden Dream tour, but quickly made up for that, calling an uncharacteristic truce. It lasted about six months. The two rarely speak at all now, even though Mel has since become semi-close to his wife Cecily.

The only one who could ever seem to stand Mel around JLN, who has always seen a different side of her is Tony. To him, she wasn't the horrible diva with a superiority complex, she was just Melly, that scared little girl from Portland who didn't know a soul in L.A. and could barely pay her rent. No matter what happened and no matter how horrible everyone else's opinion of her was, Tony never lost faith in her and never turned his back on her, something she greatly appreciates.

In early 1988, Mel shocked everyone by renouncing her old ways and getting religion. It was said that she did it to win the heart of straight-laced Frankie, whom she'd been pursuing for a while. Given Mel's history with men, many were stunned that she would even glance twice at him. After all, he wasn't powerful, he wasn't rich and he wasn't married. Still, Mel was determined to have him and found herself madly in love.

Unfortunately, it didn't last long. Mel, frustrated because she was ready for marriage and babies, couldn't take Frankie's constant stalling and broke up with him on the telephone. Almost immediately, Mel realized her mistake, but is it too late now to come crawling back?
